Group has received US$800,000 in funding to set up its operations from the U.S. Government, according to US Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Robert Perry. Broadcasts will also be directed at Guinea, which is the only West African nation without a private and independent media. The station is also part of an effort to democratize Liberia in advance of Oct 2003 elections. |
