October 15, 2001

U.S. PSYOP radio programs aimed at the people of Afghanistan have been monitored by BBC Monitoring on what is believed to be a studio-transmitter program feed. Although the name of the station has not yet been determined, BBCM reports the announced schedule as:

*0030-0530* 8700 kHz USB in Dari and Pashto
*1230-1730* 8700 kHz USB in Dari and Pashto

BBCM notes that this frequency may not be "intended for reception by the public" so listeners are encouraged to scan for additional and/or alternate frequencies.
